Agreement between Daimler-Benz and Consolidated Freightways on the acquisition of Freightliner: On the basis of the "Letter of Intent" published earlier, Daimler-Benz AG, Stuttgart, and Consolidated Freightways Inc., San Francisco, USA, have successfully concluded several weeks of negotiation and have come to an agreement on Daimler-Benz's acquisition of Freightliner. The relevant contract was signed on Tuesday, 5 May 1981, in Stuttgart-Untertürkheim.
