Mercedes-Benz SL, special model "Special Edition", model series 129. A second "Special Edition" appears in 1998 in an edition of 500 units. It is available with all engines except the SL 60 AMG. In the SL 280 "Special Edition", the automatic 5-speed transmission is part of the standard equipment. The paint finish is obsidian black metallic, and the black and red integral seats are finished in soft leather in designo red with black decorative stitching.
