    Daimler-Benz AG and Consolidated Freightways Inc. based in San Francisco, California/USA, sign a contract on the takeover of heavy-duty truck manufacturer Freightliner and of light alloy, casting and foamed material parts manufacturer Consolidated Metco by Daimler-Benz.
