Mercedes-Benz attends MPC road safety days in Berlin

    On the occasion of the 3rd Road Safety Days event organised by the Motor Presse Club e.V. in Berlin, Mercedes-Benz demonstrates the full scope of its "Real Life Safety" initiative with an extensive range of experimental vehicles and simulators. The event also marks the world premiere of Active Blind Spot Assist and Active Lane Keeping Assist, already available in the E-Class and also to be offered from July in the S-Class and CL-Class.

Active Lane Keeping Assist - corrective brake actuation keeps the vehicle in its lane: Driver alerted by means of steering wheel vibrations and brake actuation that corrects the vehicle's course if the vehicle unintentionally wanders out of the lane.

Active Blind Spot Assist - radar sensors and course-corrective braking intervention for safe lane changes: visual signal and acoustic warning of risky lane changes as well as braking intervention in case of lateral collision risk.
