Daimler signs MoU with BYD for technology partnership in China

Daimler AG and the BYD Company Limited jointly sign a Memorandum of Understanding covering a comprehensive technological partnership. On 27 May, the partners agree to create a 50:50 joint venture under the name Shenzen BYD Daimler New Technology Co. Ltd., which has as its objective the development of an electric vehicle to meet the requirements of the Chinese market.
