- Description: From the yard of the Daimler factory on the Seelberg hill in Cannstatt, Leipzig bookseller Dr Friedrich Hermann Wölfert sets off in his motorised airship. It is propelled by a Daimler single-cylinder engine, producing 2 hp / 1.5 kW at 700 rpm. This maiden flight of a motorised airship ends in Kornwestheim, about four kilometres away.
