Logistics innovation for truck assembly at the Mercedes-Benz Wörth plant

    A ground-breaking ceremony to mark the start of construction work on a new automated small parts warehouse (AKL) takes place at the Mercedes-Benz truck plant at Wörth. With a total investment of € 26 million and on premises covering over an area of 6,600 sq m, the automated small parts warehouse will be the first to operate in a truck assembly plant.

The investment in the new Automated Small Parts Store – an unrivalled facility in the truck sector – will help ensure the long-term competitiveness of the Wörth plant and prepare for future challenges.
