Biofuel: cooperation with Volkswagen

Daimler AG and Volkswagen AG take minority interests in Freiberg-based CHOREN Industries GmbH. The main purpose of the investment is to speed up the broad market introduction of the climate-friendly second-generation synthetic biofuel that is to be produced by CHOREN from 2008 at the world's first commercial plant.
