Daimler-Benz acquires majority of AEG

Daimler-Benz AG announces its intention to acquire the majority shareholding in AEG AG. The company starts by purchasing 24.9 % of the shares and increases its stake, following approval by the German Antitrust Office, to 56 % in February 1986.
