Freightliner wants to sell fire truck business

Freightliner, the leading commercial vehicle manufacturer in North America and wholly-owned subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler, announces its intention to sell the firefighting and rescue vehicle business under the American LaFrance brand to the investment company Patriarch Partners, LLC. The company headquarters of American LaFrance and the production plant in Ladson, South Carolina/USA, remain in the possession of DaimlerChrysler AG.
