Production plant opened in Beijing

In cooperation with Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Company (BAIC), DaimlerChrysler opens a production plant in Beijing for the manufacture of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the Chrysler 300 C. Assembly of the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class also is planned.
