Daimler AG and McLaren Group change form of their cooperation

Daimler AG announces that from the 2010 season Mercedes-Benz will be competing with a works team in the Formula One World Championship. Subject to the approval of the EU and the Swiss antitrust authorities, Daimler and Aabar Investments PJSC will acquire 75.1 % of Brawn GP, whereby Daimler will take a 45.1 % interest and Aabar 30 %. The remaining 24.9 % will remain with the current shareholders. In addition, Daimler and McLaren Group will change the nature of their cooperation with effect from 13 November. McLaren Group will conclude its repurchase of the 40 % stake held by Daimler AG by 2011. The supply of Mercedes-Benz engines to McLaren is possible until 2015.
