Foundation stone laid for new Mercedes-Benz plant in Hungary

    The foundation stone for a new passenger car production plant is ceremoniously laid in Kecskemét, Hungary, in the presence of Hungarian Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai. Following the investment of some € 800 million, the successor generation of the current A-Class and B-Class will be produced in Kecskemét from 2012 as part of a coordinated production system with the German Rastatt plant.
