Commitment to renewable fuels

In Hanover, DaimlerChrysler and Volkswagen strengthen their commitment to renewable fuels. Volkswagen will follow DaimlerChrysler’s lead in signing up to a research project with the Freiberg-based company Choren Industries GmbH for the production of high-grade biomass fuels. The two companies are looking to use this research project to gather early solid experience with renewable fuels before competition becomes an issue.
