    Following the success of its car2go initiative, Daimler AG launches the public pilot phase of a further innovative urban mobility concept in the German city of Ulm. The web-based car-sharing community car2gether acts as a broker between those offering and those seeking car sharing opportunities. Like car2go, it facilitates flexible and independent mobility without the need to own a car. The system takes advantage of the increasing prevalence of mobile internet access and the many different channels of communication this facilitates.
