At the annual convention of the American Trucking Associations in Las Vegas, Nevada/USA, Daimler-Benz AG reveals its intention to market the heavy-duty truck business, acquired from Ford in June 1997, under the "Sterling" brand in future. The new vehicle brand adds extra depth in particular to the Group’s range of construction site and distribution vehicles in the US.
