S 63 presented

At a press trial drive event in Affalterbach, Mercedes-AMG presents the S 63 AMG, the first production vehicle to feature the new biturbo V8 M 157 engine. Even in its basic variant, the innovative, stand-alone eight-cylinder engine from Affalterbach develops output of 400 kW / 544 hp, is a model of efficiency and delivers fuel savings of around 25 % over its predecessor of the same name. In part this is due to the exclusive use by Mercedes-AMG of the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission.
