  • Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft demonstrates two new Daimler motorised ploughs at Sindelfingen: a three-wheeled 25 hp plough with pinion drive and a four-wheeled 45 hp unit with rear wheels standing very close together.

  • Benz & Cie. raises its capital to 68 million Marks, after Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft increased its share capital from 32 million to 100 million Marks in September. The next capital increase, this time also to 100 million Marks, follows on 22 January. In terms of capital value the two companies are now among the largest German industrial enterprises.

  • The Board of Management of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft takes the decision to design a "diesel engine for commercial vehicles of all kinds". For this purpose DMG no longer relies on the previously tested direct injection, but on the compressed air injection system also used in submarine diesel engines.
