  • The Amsterdam Commercial Vehicle Show witnesses the debut of the world's first series-produced diesel-powered truck – a Benz 5-tonne vehicle, which is equipped with the OB 2 pre-chamber diesel engine and completed its first test run in September 1923.

  • The Daimler L 20 light plane designed by Hanns Klemm takes off on its maiden flight. Initially it is powered by a Harley-Davidson motorcycle engine, delivering 12.5 hp / 9 kW.

  • The new 15/70/100 hp and 24/100/140 hp Mercedes car models are unveiled at the Berlin Motor Show. The two supercharged six-cylinder cars, available in many sporty and prestigious coachwork variants, supersede the 28/95 hp model and are the flagship models of the sales range. Benz & Cie. presents a refuse collection vehicle in cab-over-engine version as a rear tipper with a particularly low loading height.
