Production changeover at Daimler-Benz

In an official notice the Daimler-Benz Board of Management orders rapid implementation of the production changeover decreed by the Reich Minister for Armaments and War Production. The decree prohibits any peacetime development work and demands an increase in the productivity of truck production through further standardisation and concentration. The Mannheim plant is to produce the Opel "Blitz" instead of its own 3-tonne truck, and production in Gaggenau must concentrate on the L 4500.
