  • Description
For the models of the S-Class (221 series) and CL-Class (C 216 series), Mercedes-Benz offers the newly developed Blind Spot Assist as an optional extra, which assists the driver when changing lanes. If the system detects another vehicle in the monitored area, the driver is warned with visual and, if necessary, audible signals.
Blind Spot Assist: Blind Spot Assist, developed by Mercedes-Benz, uses radar technology to monitor the areas directly alongside and behind the car. It warns the driver when changing lanes would be too dangerous.
