Environment-friendly SUVs debut in New York

    Three SUVs with especially environment-friendly diesel drive units make their debut at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS): the ML 320 BlueTEC, the R 320 BlueTEC and the GL 320 BlueTEC. All three comfortably meet the stringent US BIN 5 emission standard thanks to AdBlue technology and are offered for sale in the USA starting in the autumn. The revised W 164-series M-Class models, including the top-of-the-range ML 63 AMG, also have their world premiere.

Mercedes-Benz GL 320 BlueTEC, model series 164, 2008 USA version, sanidine beige metallic (798, in the USA sand beige metallic, on special request, non-metallic paint finish as standard). With trailer coupling (special equipment, Class IV trailer hitch with 7500 lbs. capacity). In the USA as standard with non-opening rear panoramic roof above the 3rd seat row, including roller sunblind, and electric sliding/tilting glass sunroof (the latter as special equipment in Germany). Rear side windows and rear window with dark-tinted glass (privacy glass, standard equipment in the USA, special equipment in Germany). 20-inch 5-spoke light-alloy wheels (in Germany with wheels 8.5 J x 20 ET 56, tyres 275/50 R 20, as special equipment for all models).
