Daimler Motor Syndicate becomes British Motor Syndicate

    Henry Lawson takes an active role in the conversion of Daimler Motor Syndicate, Ltd., founded by Frederick R. Simms in May 1893, into the British Motor Syndicate, Ltd. with capital of £150,000. The new company acquires the British Daimler and Maybach patents for 350,000 Marks. Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach return to Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft on 8 November, thereby fulfilling one of the conditions for the transaction set by Frederick R. Simms.
