Stake in Detroit Diesel Corporation

Mercedes-Benz AG announces its decision to invest USD 40, equivalent to a 13 % share, in US engine manufacturer Detroit Diesel Corporation (DDC), Detroit, Michigan/USA, through its subsidiary Diesel Project Development Inc. (DPD). This takes place in October on the occasion of the listing of the DDC shares on the New York Stock Exchange.
