    TÜV Süd certifies the environment-oriented product development of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class (221 series). As the world's first automobile to be awarded an environmental certificate, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class once again sets the pace of development.

The mass of the parts that can be made using high-quality secondary raw materials rose by four percent versus the previous model. In all, 27 components of the new S-Class are made of renewable raw materials.
