Fuel cell-powered bus ready for regular service

    In Stuttgart, Daimler-Benz presents the NEBUS, the first regular service bus with fuel cell drive. Six years after the launch of the fuel cell project, work towards putting the system into production is starting to bear fruit. The new technology was developed in partnership with the Canadian research company Ballard Power Systems, Inc. in which Daimler-Benz acquired a 25 % holding in April 1997.
