International award for AMG V12 engine

    At the Engine Expo 2004 in Stuttgart the M 275 6.0-litre V12 biturbo engine developed at Mercedes-AMG receives the "International Engine of the Year Award" in the category "Best Performance Engine". The 450 kW / 612 hp twelve-cylinder is used in the S-Class, the CL and the SL.

New V12 biturbo engine M 275, 5980 cc, 450 kW/612 hp, maximum torque electronically limited to 1000 Nm (at 2000 - 4000 rpm), 3 valves per cylinder. Brilliant silver metallic (744), AMG SPEEDSHIFT 5-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel gearshift, AMG sports suspension, 19-inch AMG twin-spoke light-alloy wheels, AMG high-performance brake system, AMG sports seats with Exclusive nappa leather, glass sliding sunroof, AMG instrument cluster with 360 km/h scale (standard equipment).
