    Mercedes-Benz, engine partner to the Penske team, tops the constructors' standings in the CART World Series, the successor to the IndyCar series. The Bettenhausen, Forsythe, Hogan and Pac West customer teams also place their trust in the V8 engine, which develops around 588 kW / 800 hp.
