    Hellmuth Hirth wins the Kathreiner Prize for his cross-country flight from Berlin to Munich. His Etrich-Rumpler "Taube" is fitted with the Mercedes E 4 F aeroengine.
Etrich-Rumpler-Taube from 1911. The power came courtesy of a Daimler E 4 F (F 1244) aeroengine with an output of 60 hp. Hellmuth Hirth flew this aircraft between Munich and Berlin on June 30, 1911 to win the Kathreiner Prize.
