One-millionth smart for Hambach's tenth anniversary

A silver-coloured smart fortwo mhd passion rolls off the assembly line at the Hambach plant in France. Not only is this the one-millionth smart fortwo, it also marks the brand’s tenth anniversary. Daimler celebrates this production milestone by presenting the new smart fortwo electric drive. The second generation of the electric smart is equipped with a lithium-ion battery and will be built in a small series starting in late 2009.
