Zeppelin airship Hindenburg flies with engines from Daimler-Benz

    The LZ 129 "Hindenburg" Zeppelin airship embarks on its maiden flight. Powered by four Daimler-Benz DB 602 (LOF 6) V16 engines – each generating maximum output of 1,200 hp / 882 kW – it completes three trips to South America and ten scheduled flights to North America within the space of nine months, covering a total distance of 308,421 km.
