At an Extraordinary Shareholders' Meeting of Daimler-Benz AG the decision is made to increase the share capital from 39.15 million Reichsmarks (RM) to RM 50.22 million by issuing new common shares. The new shares are offered to the holders of the old common shares at a subscription ratio of 1 for 4 and a price of 135 %.
