    The S-Class coupés from the 140 series celebrate their European premiere at the Geneva Motor Show. Moreover, Mercedes-Benz unveils a Flexible Fuel test vehicle based on the 300 SE S-Class saloon (140 series). The car’s engine management is tuned to the demands of a variable petrol-methanol hybrid drive system running on a methanol proportion of up to 85 %.

Mercedes-Benz 600 SEC (from 06.1993: S 600 Coupé), model series 140, 1992 version. Front section characterised by the SL radiator grille, coupé character without continuous B-pillars, rear lights in integrated design. V12 spark-ignition engine M 120 with 5987 cc and 290 kW/394 hp. Brilliant silver (metallic paintwork at no extra charge), grey interior (velour upholstery as standard, leather as an option at no extra charge). Electric headlamp wiper system and sliding sunroof (standard equipment, here in glass version as special equipment), 8-hole forged light-alloy wheels (special equipment).
