South Africa: start of production of the C-Class

At a ceremony attended by Thabo Mbeki, President of the Republic of South Africa, Dr Hansgeorg Niefer, CEO of DaimlerChrysler South Africa, and numerous guests, production of the new C-Class begins in the East London plant. This is already the third generation of the C-Class built by the plant in South Africa.
