    At Nutzfahrzeug Ludwigsfelde GmbH, a Mercedes-Benz 814 light-duty truck from the LN 2 series is the first Mercedes-Benz truck to come off the assembly line on the territory of the former German Democratic Republic. Established in January by the Treuhand privatisation agency, the company produces Mercedes-Benz trucks there initially on a contract basis. The landmark vehicle is officially presented to Brandenburg's Minister President Manfred Stolpe by Mercedes-Benz Board of Management Chairman Prof. Werner Niefer.
