  • Description

The new V-engine plant in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt is officially opened in the presence of Baden-Württemberg’s Minister President Erwin Teufel. The "factory of the future", which is to achieve annual production of over 300,000 V6 and V8 engines from the M 112 and M 113 series using state-of-the-art manufacturing methods, places great emphasis on environment-friendly engineering. In keeping with this principle, Europe’s biggest photovoltaic solar plant is mounted on the roof of the factory and converts sunlight directly into electricity.
