    The American military government commissions Daimler-Benz AG to set up a large repair workshop for military vehicles in Waiblingen. The plans involve a workforce of 800 employees carrying out repairs on 400 vehicles per month. Another facility mainly for truck repairs emerges in Uhingen.
In August 1946, Daimler-Benz AG set up repair lines for damaged US Army vehicles. Ford sedans of the so-called Ford-Sedan line and a Type 320 Pullman sedan as well as a 170 V were repaired here.
