  • Description
The new Mercedes-Benz 12-tonne Atego is voted "Truck of the Year 2011" by an international jury of experts at the Commercial Vehicle IAA in Hanover. The upgraded Atego and Axor truck ranges celebrate their show premiere at Hanover, as do the new-generation Vito van and Viano large-capacity multi-purpose vehicle. New eco-friendly van models at the show include the Vito E-CELL and the LPG-powered Sprinter 316 LGT. Also making their debut are the superbly equipped limited-edition special models "Actros Edition Black Liner" and "Actros Edition White Liner". New among the buses is the twin rear axle Sprinter City 77 urban bus from the Mercedes-Benz minibus range. At Setra buses the emphasis is on a new generation of passenger seats, with variants for the full range of applications from regular service use to long-distance travel. The new seats are characterised by added comfort, low weight, extreme functionality and high standards of safety. Daimler FleetBoard shows its new telematics services in Hanover, which can be used to further improve the economic efficiency of trucks and vans. Among these is the new DispoPilot.guide system, which includes a 7- inch screen for the cab.
