    In the final race of the FIA GT Championship season at Laguna Seca, California/USA, Klaus Ludwig and Ricardo Zonta capture the drivers' title ahead of Bernd Schneider and Mark Webber, both pairings at the wheel of Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM race cars. AMG-Mercedes finishes top of the team classification by a sizeable margin – the Mercedes-Benz racing sports cars have won every one of the ten championship races.
