US Army commissions Daimler-Benz with management of repair workshops

In addition to operating the Waiblingen workshop, Daimler-Benz is requested by the US Army to take over management of the workshops in Esslingen, Böblingen and Schwäbisch Gmünd, previously run by the US Army and now employing some 4,600 people.
