Involvement in South Africa

Daimler-Benz AG acquires a 50.1 % holding in the South African company "United Car and Diesel Distributors (Pty.) Ltd." (UCDD), Pretoria – one of the South African automotive industry's largest companies. In April the company is renamed Mercedes-Benz of South Africa (Pty.) Ltd.
