    As part of a test and research program into alternative fuels, Mercedes-Benz AG supports a widescale experiment conducted by taxi operators in Freiburg, Germany. Predominantly in the interests of protecting the environment, the taxi drivers run their cars on rapeseed oil methyl ester (RME) instead of diesel over a 12-month period.
As part of testing and doing research into alternative fuels, Mercedes-Benz AG supports a major trial of Freiburg taxi operators. With environmental protection firmly in mind, the taxi drivers fill up for a year with rapeseed oil methyl ester (RME) instead of diesel.
