Most valuable materials, including over 100 masterfully designed and hand-crafted fine wood elements, decorate the interior. This concept is inspired first and foremost by one objective in particular: to provide the highest possible comfort for all passengers. This is not only ensured by a generous spaciousness of 2.25 or 2.68 metres-long interior. Also, an extremely high seat comfort, low noise level and climate control on board guarantee a unique driving experience. Regarding the interior design, Maybach customers get the choice of six colours of nappa leather and three types of fine wood.

The first impression of the interior is of exceptional spaciousness. In particular the rear passengers feel very much at the centre of things and enjoy the benefits of a comfortable lounge on wheels.The Maybach 62 offers passengers the possibility to relax thanks to the innovative reclining seats. The main attraction is the unique comfortable reclining position, which passengers normally know of First-Class-Fauteuils in sophisticated passenger jets. If rear passengers select a programmed reclining position by pushing a button, the backrest slowly tilts backwards by up to 47 degrees and simultaneously a lower-leg support and a footrest appear. This way passengers can enjoy the journey in an extraordinarily relaxed reclined position and individually adjust the seat by simply changing a few commands. The large rear doors are the gates to this exclusive world; they open to an angle of 85 degrees and ensure an unforgettable experience just by getting into the car.

The comprehensive programme of standard and optional equipment offer Maybach customers over two million different ways of equipping their high-end luxury car according to their requirements. This can be complemented by high-quality accessory items, specifically developed for Maybach - from a custom-made luggage set to a champagne goblet of sterling silver, from a humidor to a golf-bag and from floor-mats of the finest velour to a fluffy travel blanket.

Apart from fine leather or fine woods the designers have also used light as an interior design element for the Maybach model. In addition to a number of lights, which go on automatically when opening the door or which can be used as a reading light at the touch of a button, they also developed an ambient lighting. The pleasant, diffuse light remains on, even during the journey when it is dark, in order to create a special ambience. The main attraction of this sophisticated lighting concept is the sliding section in the roof lining of the optional panoramic roof for the Maybach 62. It is equipped with an electro-luminescent membrane, which, when the sliding section is closed, can be activated by touching a button, emitting a pleasant diffuse light. By means of a potentiometer placed in the rear console, the rear passengers of the Maybach 62 can adapt the light intensity and the ambient lighting to any level, according to their individual wishes.
