McLaren-Mercedes: Häkkinen is world champion

Mika Häkkinen claims victory in the McLaren-Mercedes MP4-13 at the Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka, the final race of a season which has taken the excitement of Formula One to new levels, and in which the Finnish driver is crowned Formula One world champion. The West McLaren-Mercedes team takes the constructors’ title.
