    Mercedes-Benz presents an all-new 200 kW / 272 hp 3.5-litre petrol engine. As the first representative of the M 272 series, an innovative family of V6 engines featuring four-valve technology, it first sees use in the new SLK from early 2004.
Mercedes-Benz SL 350, model series 230. Technical diagram: The M 272 is a four-valve V6 engine with a displacement of 2.5 to 3.5 litres and a cylinder bank angle of 90°. It was used in various model series and performance levels from 2004. In the SL 350, it replaced the preceding 3.7-litre three-valve engine M 112 with the 2006 facelift. The SL 350 now has 3.5 litres and an output of 200 kW/272 hp. With the 2008 facelift, the figure is 232 kW/316 hp under the designation "Sport".
