Clean turbodiesel cars go into production

Mercedes-Benz puts the first production cars equipped with particulate filters on the market, the 300 D, 300 TD and 300 CD (123 series) and the 300 SD (126 series). The clean turbodiesels with the first-generation diesel particulate filter are initially offered in eleven states in the US West.
