MTU: preparing to part with the heavy-duty engine business

DaimlerChrysler AG takes over the minority holdings of the family shareholders of MTU Friedrichshafen and so creates the prerequisites to dispose of the Off-Highway unit. Divestiture of the business in heavy-duty engines is part of a series of measures to sharpen the strategic focus on the core business.
