Daimler motor carriage - A special problem is the cooling of the Daimler Universal Engine. The single-cylinder is provided with a particularly thick-walled cylinder and cylinder head, which is not very helpful in view of the loads caused by the driving operation. A remedy for this is the tubular radiator at the rear of the motor carriage. Its cooling water evaporates and therefore has to be replenished frequently.
