The star of the Mercedes line-up being presented at the 67th Geneva International Motor Show is the new A-class, which is making its world debut. Mercedes will be unveiling to the public for the first time the A 140, A 160 and A 170 TURBODIESEL models.
Safety matches the high standards of the E-class thanks to sandwich concept
The A-class, which measures only 3.57 meters from bumper to bumper, embodies an innovative concept which has allowed the Mercedes engineers to raise standards of safety, spaciousness and adaptability to levels previously undreamt of in cars of this size. Thanks to the sandwich concept, the engine, transmission and axles are positioned either below or obliquely in front of the passenger cell, so that virtually the entire body length can be used to provide space for passengers or load.
