Mercedes-Benz 500 SEL Crashtest - Crash test of a 500 SEL (S-Class of the model series 126) at the Mercedes-Benz accident test facility in Sindelfingen on the occasion of the delivery of the one-millionth Mercedes-Benz vehicle with airbag in July 1992. The vehicle, which was manufactured in 1981 and later bought back from a customer, was one of the first ten vehicles to be equipped with airbag and belt tensioner. The crash test demonstrated that, even after 11 years, the airbag still functioned perfectly.
